|
President Wade Ellegood is an in-school
suspension teacher. He is currently
on leave from George Wythe High School, serving
full-time in his position as
union president. As president Wade also served as
chairman of REA's
Political Action Committee, the organization's political
arm. |
Vice President Charlotte Riddick is a
business and information technology
teacher at Armstrong High School. In addition
carry out her duties as vice
president, Charlotte serves as Membership Organizing
chairperson, heads the
Budget and Finance Committee, and represents the members
at her school as
building representative. |

Nedra
Marshall |

|
Holly is secretary-treasurer of REA and teaches special
education at Albert Hill Middle School. She is
responsible for taking the minutes of all meetings of
the Board of Directors and the Representative Assembly,
and works through the Budget and Finance Committee in
drafting monthly financial statements and annual
budgets. Holly also serves on the VEA Board of
Directors as District 16 vice president. Holly also serves on the VEA Board

Nedra is an administrative assistant and is the first
person to greet you at the REA office. She is
responsible for maintaining office inventories, general
and grievance files. Nedra prepares materials for
assemblies, board meetings and caucus sessions, and she
maintains assembly and meeting records. Nedra is
responsible for communications with members, committees
and community contacts. She assists the officers and
staff in the general operations of the REA office |

Angele Chewning |

Julian Ferras |

|
Angele is the executive assistant of REA and maintains
membership records and financial operations, and she
assists in member relations. Angele handles dues payment
accounts, disbursements and accounts payable, and
business records. She coordinates union elections with
the Elections Committee, and makes arrangements for
conferences, workshops, meetings and conventions. |
Julian is the senior staff member and
with more than 30 years of union work, he serves REA as
director and business agent. Julian works with REA’s
Members’ Rights and Compensation Committee and produces
the newsletter, Actionline.

Cheri W. James |

|
Cheri is a former president of REA and
VEA, and currently serves on the staff of REA as
director. In addition to representing members in
employee grievances, Cheri works with REA’s Political
Action and Membership Organizing committees. She is also
staff advisor to the Educational Support Professional
Caucus and to REA-Retired. |
